Update: Georgie has put on many miles. He came to us from a rescue effort in Georgia where he had it pretty rough. A few years after his stay here at Alchemy, Georgie began exhibiting signs of early onset Arthritis. His condition has been kept steady through daily maintenance and care. Georgie's favorite activities include lounging about and laying on lap, even though he doesn't quite fit. Georgie has shown tendencies to guard his family and is rather leery of newcomers. He will need a home that is able to accommodate both his medical needs and his behavioral needs. Georgie is back. After his rehabilitation at Alchemy, where he came to from Georgia, he became a happy healthy young adult. His personality captured the amazement of anyone working with him. He is mellow and very loving. Georgie was adopted to a very loving family but was brought back because he became very protective of his new family. Georgie is now working with a behaviorist and looking for a home with a single person or a family who will be able to confine him when company comes to visit and slowly work him into socializing with company and understanding that visitors are welcome. He is wonderful with children and has a lot of love to give. Georgie is doing much better now. He has been neutered and is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever seen. He is available for adoption Georgie came to us from Georgia. He was found abandoned there by a retail store. Completely bloated from worms he is being taken care of now and will be ready for adoption 12-16-06. All Alchemy dogs are given their initial shots including rabies, they are tested for heartworm and put on heartworm preventative, they have been dewormed and defleaed, and they are microchipped. Alchemy does the microchip registration in the new owner's name the day of adoption for free! Once a dog reaches the age of 5 months they are spayed or neutered.
